How safe is it?
All adventure activities done above the ground carry certain inherent risks. We have taken numerous steps to mitigate these risks. Our course was built to exceed ACCT professional building standards. Our guides are professionally trained and certified for safe operation on our course, and our equipment is very high quality. The zip line course is inspected each day, prior to daily operation, by trained EMPOWER course operators, monthly by an Empower manager, and yearly by an ACCT Professional Vendor Member. All safety equipment (waist and chest harnesses, helmets, lanyards and tethering systems, carabiners and hardware, zip line trolleys, guest gloves and brake pads) is inspected prior to each zip line tour launch. The Empower course operators also complete an assessment of each guests’ ability and environmental conditions (wind, weather, temperature and time of day). All Empower adventure activities are fully-guided by professionally trained adventure guides who must complete a rigorous 40-hour training and certification course prior to leading an Empower adventure.
